Product Designer

Design the experience millions of people across the UAE and KSA use to run their homes.

Every month, hundreds of thousands of people across the GCC book a cleaner, a beauty service, a handyman, or a healthcare visit through Justlife. The moment they tap through, the trust they place in letting someone into their home, that is what you will design.

We are looking for a Product Designer who treats craft and speed as the same goal, who has shipped consumer software at scale, and who wants to help build the most loved super app for home services in the region. You will have the room to own the problem, not just the screen.

The Role

You will own the design of key product areas end to end. Research, flows, prototypes, the shipped experience, and how it holds up once real people use it. You will drive all of it alongside product and engineering every day. You will report to the Design Manager and have a real say in what we build and why, not just how it looks.

The work spans every side of the marketplace. Clients booking and paying, professionals managing their availability and jobs, and the internal teams keeping every service moving. The journeys you could own sit across that entire experience, including payments, availability, assignment, CRM, fulfilment, and the flows that connect them.

This is not a role where you decorate decisions someone else has already made. We want you involved in the problem early, challenging weak ideas before they reach a screen, pushing back when the easy design is the wrong one, and taking ownership of the outcome the experience drives, not just the screens you hand off.

We also want you working the way the best designers work today, with AI doing real work at every step, from research synthesis to rapid prototyping. We are pushing hard to become an AI native product team, and the person in this role will play an active part in that shift rather than simply keeping up with it.

What You'll Do in Your First 6 Months

• Ship a core surface. Own one area, funnel, matching, or payments, across UI and UX, and get it live.
• Set the benchmark. Run a competitor and market study and define the design bar for your surface, measured against the best, not guessed.
• Ground it in real insight. Run user interviews and service-professional (crew) interviews, and turn what you learn into shipped design.
• Build AI into your workflow. Use AI tooling to move faster from idea to high-fidelity prototype, and show the team how.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

• 3–5 years of experience as a Product Designer, ideally working on consumer mobile, marketplace, or two-sided platform products.
• Excellent visual design craft. You have a strong eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition, interaction, and detail. Your portfolio should demonstrate polished, production-ready mobile interfaces, not just solid UX thinking.
• Strong end-to-end UI and UX skills. You can take a feature from problem definition and exploration through to final design and implementation, explaining the decisions you made along the way.
• A portfolio that shows meaningful ownership. We want to see the specific role you played, how you approached the problem, how the design evolved, and the impact of the final solution.
• A benchmark-driven approach. You actively study the best products in a category, understand what makes them effective, and use those learnings to raise the quality of your own work.
• A user-centred mindset. You use research, feedback, data, and real user or crew insights to inform your decisions, and can share examples of how those insights changed your design.
• Demonstrable AI fluency. You can name the AI tools you use, explain exactly where they fit into your workflow, and show how they have improved your speed, exploration, or output quality. Generic claims will not pass screening; specifics will.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing for marketplaces or products with two-sided user journeys.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience using AI as part of the design craft, not only as a feature within the product.
• Experience working closely with engineers to maintain visual quality through implementation.

How We'll Evaluate You

We run structured interviews using a shared scorecard, so you know exactly what we are evaluating: visual and interaction design quality, speed of iteration, depth of benchmark analysis, rigour in user and crew research, and how you navigate ambiguity and take ownership. Every interviewer assesses the same dimensions, with no guesswork or shifting expectations.
